Day 1
ARRIVAL AT KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
When you leave Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Miliwe guide will be waiting for you with a big smile: 'Karibu Tanzania - welcome to Tanzania!' The guide will take you directly to your hotel, where you can rest from the journey and enjoy the African atmosphere. The next day, the guide will take you on an exclusive, private safari where you determine the pace yourself . Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and make use of the freedom to watch the animals for as long as you want!
Day 2
Tarangire National Park
It is heaven on earth for large herds of elephants: Tarangire National Park. This is due to the large number of baobab trees that are a source of water for elephants during the dry season. These trees can live for hundreds of years and elephants use a special technique to extract moisture from them. In addition, the Tarangire River that runs through the park is the only other water source during this season. So you can imagine that this place is a paradise for large herds of up to 250 elephants.
Day 3
Ngorongoro Conservation Area (incl. crater)
The famous Ngorongoro Crater is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. When a huge volcano erupted two million years ago, this crater was formed. The fertile lava created a unique ecosystem, making it the most densely populated area with animals in Africa. When you enter the crater, you will be amazed. Thousands of lions, zebras, buffalos and black rhinos surround you. And there is more, because the views are impressive. Curious to get a taste of this world wonder? Day 4
Serengeti National Park (central west/east)
When you say safari, you say Serengeti National Park. Why? Here you get the chance to see the largest migration of wild animals. The 2.5 million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder through the park, looking for grass. Can you picture it? The park has something else exceptional: there lives an enormous amount of predators. With the 4000 lions, 225 cheetahs, 1000 leopards, 3500 hyenas and hundreds of wild dogs you experience the wildest side of a safari. Are you ready to go on an adventure with the guide?
DAY 5-6
Northern Serengeti & the Great Migration (with a chance to see the famous Mara River crossing)
Imagine driving across the savannahs of the northern Serengeti with your guide, only to come across millions of wildebeest and zebras bleating as they try to cross a river full of crocodiles. This is the famous Mara River crossing of the Great Migration, a natural phenomenon that takes place every year between July and October in the northern part of Serengeti National Park. Be warned: this is not for the faint-hearted - did we mention the predators waiting on the other side, as hungry for meat as the herds are for greener pastures...?
DAY 7
Flight to Zanzibar
Today you fly to the spice island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, the guide will be waiting to take you to the hotel. The coming days are all about white sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise water and colourful coral reefs. Fancy some culture? Then go to Stone Town and dive into the history of this fascinating town. Are you a Burgundian and do you love good food? Then visit the spice plantations and discover the deliciously varied flavours of the local cuisine. A tropical paradise!
DAY 8-10
Zanzibar
The ultimate paradise? That's Zanzibar! Beautiful and tropical. With clear blue water of the Indian Ocean, palm trees and white sandy beaches that provide you with special pictures. Relax on the beach with a fresh coconut drink in your hand, enjoy the warmth, take a dip in the ocean or taste the delicious food of Zanzibar. Do you prefer more action? Discover the beach, the life in the ocean or the culture on the island with all kinds of activities. Our favorite is the Safari Blue Cruise or a tour of Stone Town!
DAY 11-12
Flight home from Zanzibar Airport (ZNZ)
The last day! Depending on the time of your flight, you can relax on the beach or explore the island this morning. When the time is right, a driver will take you to Zanzibar International Airport. Want to enjoy it even longer? Extend your trip with a trip to one of the other paradises: Mnemba, Pemba or Mafia.
